Amazfit Verge Lite Review : Is it Accurate? Know Here

Amazfit Verge Lite Review : Just a few months ago I reviewed Amazfit Bip Lite and today I am here with one more Amazfit Smartwatch, Amazfit Verge Lite. Amazfit Verge Lite is a midrange smartwatch and a lite variant of the original Amazfit Verge (₹ 10,990). Amazefit is launching products regularly and in each price segment, they have one smartwatch. Don’t be confused between Amazefit Verge and Amazefit Verge Lite. The Amazefit Verge has more apps, the ability to make calls, and lower battery life.

By the way, Amazfit is owned by Huami, which is the exclusive provider of wearable technology for Xiaomi. It was launched in 2014, it is one of the largest wearable device company worldwide with over 50 million units sold till today and a 17.1% global market share.

After a quick introduction of Product and Company let’s talk about Amazfit Verge Lite and how good it performs through this Amazfit Verge Lite Review.

Amazfit Verge Lite is Available on Amazon. at Price ₹ 6,999,  it is available only in Shark Grey color. We ordered it and received in 5 days, It was packed good and after using it for a couple of days here are our observation about this product.

Amazfit Verge Lite Review: Design and Specification

Amazefit Verge Lite doesn’t look very unique and attractive. It has a very flat design, which looks odd, but the main thing is that it is not very “FIT” on the hand.  Although it is very light but still not really comfortable to wear. The wristband made of silicone and polycarbonate is the main reason behind that.

Apart from the materials causing discomfort, sweaty hands can cause this. Wearing the watch for a short period of time won’t cause discomfort until wore for long hours. This is a major concern.
The body is made with polycarbonate makes it quite cheap that can be an excuse. Amazfit Verge Lite buckle is made with plastic that offered a secure fit. The strap can be replaced with another.

Under Amazfit Verge Lite are a heart rate sensor and pins for charging. On the right side is a single button, meant for options selection and serves as a home button.

The display screen size is big enough that you don’t have to strain your eyes before seeing. It is a 1.3 inch AMOLED screen that works perfectly in all lighting conditions. It makes use of corning Gorilla Glass as protection and a good touch.

The Amazfit Verge Lite Software

To be honest with you, using the Amazfit Verge Lite button can be confusing especially for someone without prior experience with a wearable wristwatch. Sometimes, when you press the home screen you may end up being redirected to the apps section such as the workout apps, and pressing the button will show you details of your ongoing workout. Here, a long press lets you end the workout. In short, it takes time and patience to get used to the navigation schema, and this can be frustrating if it takes longer.

In the AMAZFIT Verge Lite Software section there aren’t too many apps, no app from third part, so you can only perform basic activities such as track workouts, set alarms, check notification and control music which make it totally different from AMAZFIT Verge that can be used for more complex activities. It is not a fully functional wristwatch as it has limitations. You can think of Verge Lite as a fitness watch that allows you to monitor your daily exercise activities. Verge Lite does not allow replying to notifications or call answering. But with the price it is being sold, that is not a problem.

What makes it worth the price is the notification feature, but the intensity of the vibrations makes it frustrating. And it has no custom vibration settings that can be done on the Amazfit Bip Lite or Mi. Smart Band 4. Sadly, the Verge Lite doesn’t have this feature even as it cost more.

Amazfit Verge Lite companion app is similar to the ones used for Mi. Smart Band 4 and does its job fairly well, aside from the navigation problem it is not difficult finding the data you need.

Amazfit Verge Lite Performance and Battery Life

The Amazfit Verge Lite has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. And to measure the performance it was tested with the step tracking tests. On walking 1,000 steps backed up with manual counting. On checking the result was 997 steps tracked by the wearable which makes it accurate.

A standard distance tracking test was carried out, for which the We Observed team measured using a car’s odometer. The Amazfit Verge Lite comes with a built-in GPS tracker and it logged the distance as 1.07Km. This result is accurate putting into consideration natural and man-made obstacles that were crossed.

Also, it has sleep tracking features that work pretty fine. It works perfectly at recording the sleep and wake up time. The battery life was pretty good and the performance was closed to the life span provided by the manufacturer. On a single charge, it lasted for 2-3 weeks even when the notification was turned on and other workouts were performed.

Conclusion

The price AMAZFIT Verge Lite is being sold at is nice enough for the features it is set to offers. It performed well and the reviews provided by verified buyers confirmed this as many can easily track their daily workout activities accurately. Also, it has a nice display and is waterproof and dust resistant, which is good.
Although, it comes with amazing features the downside such as inability to wear for a long period of time, and strong vibration intensity can’t be overlooked. If any of these disadvantages make it a deal-breaker you can go for Amazfit Bip Lite and so on. But if you can keep up with the disadvantages of buying AMAZFIT Verge Lite is one of the best decisions you can ever make.
