Infinity (JBL) Glide 500 Wireless Review: Design and Specification

Infinity (JBL) Glide 500 Wireless’s build quality is normal and it is made entirely out of plastic. The drive compartments have some texture and Linfinity’s logo on it. At the opposite side, you get soft cushions. The headphone is having a lighter shed of Black. Overall the design is quite good and compact. The plastic body doesn’t look or feel fragile. With a rotational pivot, the ear cups are multi-axis flat foldable so you can comfortably fit them in your pocket also!

I usually use headphone for maximum 1 hour straight in a day, but for this review I tried putting this headphone on for 3.5 hours straight and I must say it is quite comfortable, the soft cushions make it very comfortable but at same time it also cover the ear so perfectly that the outer noises can’t reach to your ear. I also wanna mention that you shouldn’t get any problem up to 2.5 hours of wearing but after it, you might want to rest your ears for a while.

If we talk about controls then the first thing I would like to mention is that by tapping on the earcup you can easily activate the voice assistant of your Smartphone whatever it is Google Assistant or Siri. The right earcup also features Volume Up and down buttons along with a Power button. These buttons are multi-functional, like to switch EQ, long-press Vol- and Vol+ simultaneously to switch to the other. Similarly to pair it with your smartphone for the first time you have to hold on the power button for 2s and headphone will enter pairing mode. I want to include one more example, to restore factory settings, press the power button for 6s in state of shutdown.

The controls are maybe complicated in starting but you will be used to it very quickly, Now if we talk about specs in this Infinity (JBL) Glide 500 Wireless Review, then it features 32mm-32ohms driver at both side. Other than drives it features Bluetooth v5.0, 20Hz~20kHz Frequency Range, 200mAh Battery (GSP061429) with 13hrs Talktime, 20hrs playback time and 2hrs charging time. Infinity JBL Glide 500 Wireless features Deep Bass, Duel EQ, Built-In Microphone, and Siri/ Google Assistant supported.

Turned the headphone by pressing the power button, the blue indicator blinked then I pressed it for 2s to pair with my Nokia 6.1 Plus, The connection was blazing fast and the connection was stable through our test thanks to the Bluetooth 5.0. Later I also connected it with OnePlus 7T and iPhone 7 and got the same result.

Now let’s talk about the sound in this Infinity (JBL) Glide 500 Wireless Review, the sound quality is awesome if you compare it with other headphones in this price segment. It has wide sound-stages and the Mids and High are equally balanced thus giving you a warm and soothing sound. If you are a bass lover like me then I want to mention that it won’t give you over your head bass, but you’ll get a smooth thumping bass, you can feel the vibration in your ears without any distortion. You get a dual EQ too, normal mode and bass mode. The sound does feel different but not that much. Impressive bass though with the right EQ settings.

It provides a very rich sound clarity but if you want a very loud headphone then you won’t be satisfied. I don’t like very loud sound but I secretly wish that they increase the loudness a little bit more but fine, I’m equally satisfied with the sound quality, clarity, and bass. Due to the ear cushion on the ear cups, you won’t hear to much noise so it is quite impressive.

Infinity JBL Glide 500 Wireless

The Infinity (JBL) Glide 500 Wireless also features inbuild mic so we tested it with some hands-free calls also. The call quality was just fine, nothing impressive or nothing very bad. The other side can hear me clearly and I too can hear the caller voice clearly.

The Battery backup was also fine also, as per document it features a 200mAh Battery (GSP061429) with 13hrs Talktime, 20hrs playback time and 2hrs charging time. So let me share the actual result, I got playback time of around 18 hours and 20 minutes around 70% volume after a full charge. By the way, it takes 2hrs charging time to deliver that playback time. It also features Quick Charging i.e. 10 min of Charge gives you 2 Hrs of Playtime, which also seems almost true. Thus JBL Glide 500 Wireless Sounds good and also have an amazing battery backup.
