Vivo TWS Neo Review: Wireless earphones are the demand of the era. Debuting with big brands like Apple and Samsung, the wireless earphone system has pooled a lot of appreciation from users all over the world. Motivated by its popularity and each day elevating demand, other smartphone brands like Xiaomi, Oppo, Oneplus, Realme, etc decided to expand the outlines and design wireless earphones that give the best results when used with the similar brand smartphones.

Vivo – a company known for its affordable yet quality products and a market reach over 100 countries globally, is coming up with ‘wireless earphones’ as an add on in their current range of techno-friendly gadgets. Here we are, ready to give you the honest opinion on, design, quality, price and performance of the earbuds.

An Unbiased Vivo TWS Neo Review

Vivo TWS Neo Review : True Wireless Earphones

Design and Specifications

Though the new Vivo TWS Neo is built keeping in mind the outlook of Apple Airpods, it isn’t an exact look-alike of the Apple AirPods. There are certain concrete variations in the design like different touch sensor zones.

The Vivo earphones have an excellent outer ear fit but are somehow lagging when it comes to detaching noise (from surroundings). Having barely any weights, these give you a comfortable and un-obstructive wearing experience. The product comes with IP54 rating that ensures unapologetic dust and water resistance making it a rough-tough choice for outdoor or gym use.

The case is a compact oval-shaped device with a USB port at the bottom, the pairing button and small indicator light in the front.

Control your earphones via Vivo Earphones App. The earphones have 14.2mm dynamic drivers, Bluetooth stability of 5.2 and multiple connectivity (up to two devices at a time). Talking about aptX Bluetooth codec, it is known for working with only Qualcomm’s latest processors and this might dishearten the buyers as they need to have similar technology before buying Vivo TWS Neo.

Battery Backup and Performance

Battery Backup and Performance

Battery Backup – There is nothing fancy about the battery life of the earphones. It has a normal battery life as compared to its price. Has the working capacity of 2.5 hrs in a single charge with 50% off volume in buds. You will get 10 hours of battery backup up of charging the buds in case

Performance – The checklist is incomplete without the performance being mentioned. The sound seems to be a bit bass-heavy, but the latest Bluetooth codec, offers just the right amount of detailing needed. Embraced by the low-latency mode, the gadget reduces latency to 88ms (the feature needs no activation and is automatically adjusted as per the activity on phone).

The performance of the earphones is terribly low when used with a smartphone not having aptX adaptive Bluetooth codec. It is the most advanced version in the Bluetooth and is currently unavailable for most smartphones and tablets. Thus, the sound quality is bearable but not up to the mark when it comes to listening to music.

Though the sound quality of music is not the true strength of the gadget, the quality of calls is nice and clearly audible. No stress needs to be given while listening to phone calls.

Up-down swipe adjusts the volume, double-tap (left side) plays/pauses the music and double tap (right side) plays the next track on list.

If detailing and performance are concerned, it is far from the competition with Lypertek Tevi and Creative Outlier Air. Vivo Earphones App designed for controlling the earphones, and it works great. Additionally Wearing detection sensors also work well. The incoming and outgoing audio on a phone call is also good, Thus mic also works fine. However, Passive noise cancelling was not up-to-the-mark. We can also hear some noise of maybe earbuds itself when there is no sound.

Summing Up

Mentioned above are the honest opinion and the insight into recently launched Vivo TWS Neo true wireless earphones. If your smartphone has aptX Bluetooth codec than Vivo TWS Neo true wireless earbuds is the best buy for you. The earphones might lag behind a bit in some segments but have some amazing features like 5.2 Bluetooth stability, considerable battery backup, compact design of the case, USB Type-C (for fast charging), excellent outer ear fit, controlled by an app, detailed music quality when paired with the correct device and lot more.
