Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro Review: Anker if you are reading this post then please don’t make the same mistake as Sony did. Stop confusing people with longer and similar names and choose a shorter name format, please. I know, they don’t read our article but fine we are here with a review of their one more product “Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro”.

The Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro earbuds feature Active noise-canceling on a really tight budget. In the international market, with a cost of around $130, It is directly competing with Bose Quiet Comfort ($279), Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro ($200) Apple AirPods ($199), and  Sony WF-100XM3 ($165). So how good is that? and is there really a catch? we will find it in this Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro Review.

Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro Review

Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro is currently not available in my country but as you already know I have friends worldwide thus I asked them to send it, and I received it in a month.

The box features Liberty Air 2 Pro, Wireless Charging Case, 9 EarTips (XXXS/XXS/XS/S/M/M+/L/L+/XL), 60cm USB-C Cable, and a few papers. Its Amazon listing page says to install the Soundcore app and choose the best Fit Eartips before using the earbuds, for the best ANC experience. So I installed the app and also chosen the best-fit EarTips. I used this Liberty Air 2 Pro for complete one week and here I am sharing my observation in this Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro Review.

Design and Specification

Let’s start with the positive thing means specs, so the Liberty Air 2 Pro features ‘Targeted Active Noise Cancelling’ which will eliminate the most disruptive and intrusive noise in everyday situations, you can easily choose from Transport, Outdoor, and Indoor modes. After ANC it these buds also feature ‘HearID Customized Sound’ creates your ideal listening profile for a sublime sound. Earbuds also include PureNote Driver Technology, complete EQ control, and 22 preset EQs.

Liberty Air 2 Pro Review

Liberty Air 2 Pro has Bluetooth 5.0, fast charging, touch control,  6 noise-canceling microphones, and 26 Hours of total playtime with a Charging Case. Additionally, buds have a 55mAh battery and the case spots a 500mAh battery. It comes with a wireless charger, USB type c port, and 9 ear tips, and that’s everything in the spec sheet. Now let’s move to the design and comfort quickly.

Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro comes with 9 Eartips yet none of them fit good enough to not feel fall-proof like they were falling out of my ears, and in a week they literally did fall out almost 4-5 times. I changed ear tips but it doesn’t help me. I don’t know it is about the material or something but they were also too loose in my ears to block out surrounding noise, and it is necessary for ANC earbuds to block outer noise. So, it really disappointed me.

However, the color, look, and feel of the case and earbuds look fantastic, something improved here and there and that’s a compact package. The indicator LEDs were also clearly visible at the front side of the case and with the magnets in the box, you can roughly place the earpieces, and the magnets will do the rest.

So, in terms of presentation, they have nailed it as it does give that overall “premium” feel, and I wouldn’t be embarrassed to gift. Everything seems accurate other than the ear tips.

Sound Quality

Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro

I am not an expert at criticizing sound quality in any way, and ultimately, it is usually subjective and my personal preference. I used these earbuds for a week and here is my observation about Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro Sound quality.

I played 50+ songs while doing my regular work and observed that although they are relatively small in size, they pack a punch. Noise cancellation is impressive, ‘not the best’ but impressive, if it fits well in your ears. it did precisely lower the tones if not remove them entirely.

Nevertheless, ANC gives the ability to listen to low volume lows without distraction, and I must say with them you can’t completely avoid your surrounding sounds, you will be able to hear around 20% of outer noise.

The transport ANC option works best among all according to the scenario. I used them while riding a bike (low traffic)on my commutes, and this option eases vehicle noise, such as the engine’s humming, horns, and even the sound of a bike that beats mine, on the road.

The bass is not up-to-the-mark, it is there but not what I expected. However, I customized EQ for better bass and it works better, so I’m happy with my current EQ setup. Although the personalized HearID improves overall sound quality, it is determined by a 5-10 minutes personal hearing test. So I switch between these based on the type of song.

Connection and Call Quality

Once the case is open, they connect pretty much immediately, however this requires keeping your device’s Bluetooth connection active. The connection was quick and each earpiece can be independently worn. I connected them with Laptop, Smartphone, and also Smart TV (No, multi-connect) and tested them while playing Wandavision alongside YouTube sometimes. The result, clean crisp, and consistent vocals throughout without any audio/video lag.

I am normally not the person who uses earphones to take calls, but recently I have used zoom calls within a reasonably quiet environment, and these earbuds hold up respectfully well. However, using it outdoor or in traffic, then clarity does suffer a bit even with six onboard microphones. Thus, for calling these are not the best but still good.

Control, App, and battery Life

Control, App, and battery Life

I installed Soundcore IOS App with a size of just over 129MB, so the app doesn’t require a huge amount of storage. It is worth downloading to get the best out of earphones and features. And without the application, they are very basic function-wise. The UI is good and it is relatively easy to navigate menus and EQs to your preference that you can’t do without and it will also show the current real-time battery bar status of both earphones. Touch control was easy and you can adjust them from the app.

I used USB-C Wired charger and a 10 minutes charge provided me slightly over the 2-hour audio-only playback. The case takes around two hours to fully charged recharge fully. Thus, everything here seems massively impressive. Make sure to update the firmware and app to the latest version as soon as possible. That’s it in this Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro Review.

Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro Review Conclusion

At the cost of $130 Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro is good, and also features ANC and a wide range of EQ. The sound quality and battery life are impressive and the connection and charging are also impressive. Eartips are not perfect and it is a major problem with these earbuds. The case is awesome both look-wise and use-wise. Thus, the outcome of this Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro review is that If you are looking for a good pair of earbuds for a good music experience then choose Liberty Air 2 Pro and first check it fits well and not fall easily. But if you can wait and save more then go with Bose Quiet Comfort earbuds. That’s it for today, feel free to comment and You can share your views and rate this product using the comment section.
