Design and Specification
Compare to the previous RHA’s earphones, nothing has changed, nor the aesthetic and that is a good thing. It’s available in two colors – blue and black. Interestingly, they both have a dull matte finish that contributes to the attractive and sophisticated look.
What makes Trueconnect 2 design stand out is that the 2 buttons have been replaced with capacitative touch sensors; it makes control easy, but can also cause a mistress of buttons. The play/pause features are readily available for usage.
A single tap on either of the earpiece pause/play the music; double-tapping skips the track; triple-tap skip to the previous track; the long-press would activated the default assistant of your smartphone. Undoubtedly, the controls are easy for everyone to use, however, has a little drawback: There is no control for volume. no-app customization and no hear-through mode.
The charging case is another thing done right by the manufacturer; the USB Type-C port is located at the bottom, features a metal lid that latches appropriately, and has the same matte as used for the earphones.

Inside the Trueconnect 2 box are the charging case, USB-A to USB-C, charging cable, stainless steel ear tip holder, and True wireless Silicone Ear tips of different sizes (2 x S, 3 x M, 2 x L). All of these contribute to the effective and comfortable use of the earbuds.

The RHA Trueconnect 2 features 6mn dynamic drivers and transmit at a frequency of 20 – 20,000 Hz; and the support SBC and AAC. The support of SBC and AAC makes it a great alternative for Skullcandy Indy Evo and Sony-1000XM3.
For the RHA Trueconnect battery life, there has been a significant improvement for both the case and earpieces. You can get 8 hours of listening from the earphones, four full charges from the case; which is is up to 40 hours of listening per charging cycle. For true wireless earphones of that price, it is impressive compare to others. Hence, ideal for sporting activities and every other day-to-day activity you might engage in.

The RHA Trueconnect 2 sound performance has also experience improvement when compare with RHA Trueconnect, from better tuning to support for AAC Bluetooth Codec. The bass and low-midrange notes have been improved to make listening to music more engaging.
Though it does not include an Active noise cancellation system, passive isolation is outstanding. The drawback of passive noise isolation is that there is no way to activate the hear-through mode. Hence, you need to remove the earphone when using them to hear others talk.
Furthermore, it performs well with varieties of music genres, but to achieve optimal isolation you need to experiment with an array of ear tips.
For seamless connectivity, the RHA Trueconnect 2 features Bluetooth 5.0 that ensures you stay connected with your smartphone(audio source), whether inside or outside.
Except for the limitation in the transmission of data caused by the lack of advanced Codec support, the RHA Trueconnect 2 is an ideal wireless earphone for phone calls, music, and long-distance strolling.
