Design and Specifications

Talking of design, nothing is new and there isn’t anything fancy to look out for. However, made with quality materials. The framework comes with rubber used in the stalk of the earphone and flat cables. Besides that, it is just an ordinary pair of wireless earphones just others out there.

Nevertheless, it is comfortable enough to be used 24/7, even though the passive noise isolation offered is not satisfactory. The sub-par standard of the isolation system has an effect on the noise cancellation. For easy usability, the right side of the earphone holds the buttons for volume, power, playback, and noise cancellation.

Usage and Performance

JVC HA-FX65BN doesn’t sound quite good compared to the more affordable true wireless JVC HA-A1OT. The sound was on equal value with what I have heard from some affordable wireless earphones like the Mi Neckband Bluetooth Earphones. Priced at three times as much, the JVC HA- FX65BN is not convincing.

However, the additional money gets you noise cancellation. Although the quality of noise cancellation is not that fantastic, looking at the price of the JVC HA – FX65BN, it is pretty. While I was at home, though the reduction was just a bit, the earphones manage to cut out some of the hums of an air conditioner and a ceiling fan.

The level of reduction was highly on equal value with what I have experienced on the Claw ANC7 noise-canceling earphones; the benefit of the JVC HA-FX65BN is that you also get wireless connectivity. Although this level of noise cancellation might not be enough to cut out the hum of a heavy machine or that of an airplane, it helped to make our home environment a bit. It will also help when commuting since it makes music or dialogue in the video a bit more audible.

Listening to music with noise cancellation on was a pleasant experience on the whole, with the JVC HA-FX65BN having a V-shaped sonic signature that goes well with the most popular song.

I feel there is a lack of detail in the sound though, with the earphones sounding a bit rough in the low-end.

The noise cancellation features do not make it so difficult to hear the other party when in a noisy environment.

JVC HA-FX65BN can be used in light rain, workouts, and even if sweat comes in contact with it. They won’t bad to wear. However, they cannot be used to swim. Prevention is better than cure.
