The range could be anything from 128GB to 8TB of storage either HDD or SSD. If you have 4T+ storage then you don’t have to worry much. Minisopuru offers some of the most exciting electronic devices, last month I reviewed DisplayLink Docking Station, and today I am here with a 40Gbps M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure. The enclosure reached my office in around 10 days and the packing was intact. In the box, we got Minisopuru 40Gbps M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure (Model= ME808M), 20-inch USB Type C thunderbolt cable, one screwdriver, 2 extra screws, 2x thermal pads, 2x rubber feet (silicone plug), and of course detailed installation and instruction guides.

The quality of not just the enclosure but everything I received in the box is top-notch. From detailed installation/instruction guides and rubber feet to the fully metallic (aluminum Alloy) Minisopuru 40Gbps M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure you will get a premium and value-for-money feeling.
Other than rubber feet and enclosure we get good quality thunderbolt cable, which is a bit shorter compared to what we received with previous enclosers but we should keep in mind that this is an extra storage device that doesn’t need a longer cable. Most of the time we are going to keep it beside our laptop or tablet.

The screwdriver is also magnetic which really feels extra cherry on the cake. Here I would like to appreciate Minisopuru for thinking about buyers and adding one extra thermal pad, rubber feet (silicon plug), and 2 extra screws in the box. Such steps give the product extra life and also eliminate the need to wander here and there if anything from these gets lost.
Design and Durability
As we mentioned before in this Minisopuru 40Gbps M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure review, the enclosure is fully metallic. The form factor (3.96 x 2.05 x 0.55 inches) is smaller than the iPhone 4S and you can easily carry it in your pocket.
On the top, there is the Minisopuru logo on the right side there is a thunderbolt port and a small hole for an indication light (green). There are 4 screws at the bottom side and some small cutouts at the front side for ventilation.
Additionally, the thermal pad gets sandwiched between the SSD’s top and the enclosure’s bottom plate. With this setup, the heat gets distributed to the whole bottom plate, and the temperature doesn’t go over 50°C.
The Minisopuru 40Gbps M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure not only looks premium but also very robust and clean. It is really strong and it’s good at staying cool. It won’t break easily, and it keeps working well, even when you use it a lot.
Performance of Minisopuru 40Gbps M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure
The Minisopuru 40Gbps M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure is a super-fast storage device that’s really impressive. It has a special cable that makes data move super quickly, and it doesn’t get too hot, even when you’re transferring big files.

Data Transfer Speed
In my performance comparison, I’ve been testing three different SSD enclosures: the Anker PowerExpand M.2 NVMe and SATA SSD Enclosure, the ACASIS 40Gbps NVMe Enclosure, and the Minisopuru 40Gbps M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure.
I used two SSDs for this test: the Western Digital WD Black SN770 NVMe 1TB and a more budget-friendly EVM M.2 (2280) 128GB SSD. The results have been impressive, with read speeds reaching up to a blazing 2843.19 MB/s and write speeds hitting 1993.61MB/s.

Please note that the read/write speed depends on various factors including SSD, cable, circuit board, connector cables, ports, etc. However, as you can see above the Minisopuru 40Gbps M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure performed better than the other two. Even with a similar setup, it offers better read and write speed.

Installation of SSD
The instruction manual has a proper installation guide with appropriate graphics, so you can easily install SSDs with that. However, here are the 5 easy steps to install SSD and use it:
- Unscrew all the 4 screws with the screwdriver to open the bottom plate.
- Insert a supported SSD in the slot and press in the silicon plug.
- Attach the thermal pad above the SSD.
- Close the bottom plate and tighten all the screws.
- Now connect it to the Laptop and desktop with the given Type C cable.
