Anker Soundcore Space Q45 Review

Anker Soundcore Space Q45 has gained huge popularity due to its aggressive pricing which starts at $149.99. Well, we have reviewed it in detail in this article with both its pros and cons highlighted impartially so that you can make an informed decision.

So let’s get started with an In-depth Anker Soundcore Space Q45 Review.

The Design

Among the items you get in the box are the headphones, a case, a 3.5mm aux cable, and a USB-C to USB-A charging cable.

The hard shell case of the headphones is very well built and protects the headphones while traveling and stores the Q45 neatly making it easy to carry them around. If we talk about the headphones themselves the Q45 looks solid in the hands, we get a nice dark black matte finish with slight hints of dark blue, and goes very well with the space theme.

The Q45 has similar round-shaped earcups that Soundcore had used in previous headphones, the earcups are rotatable in one direction and the cushions used are soft and padded adequately with a depth of 19.05mm and feel comfortable even after long hours of usage.

However, the cushioning on the headband does feel a bit less and can cause some discomfort now and then. The headband size is very much accommodative and has a good range even for large heads out there. Overall the design looks decent with a good fit and finish.

The Controls

Review of Soundcore Space Q45

The left side of the headphones has an NC (noise cancellation) button for switching between the modes. A USB type-C charging port along with the power button is also given on the left which is also used for pairing the devices via Bluetooth. The Anker Soundcore Space Q45 is capable of multi-paring i.e. connecting two devices simultaneously with switching enabled by pressing the power button twice.

The volume Up/Down & Play/Pause buttons are given on the right-hand side of the headphones along with a 3.5mm audio jack for connecting your smartphone or laptop with ease.

Anker Soundcore Space Q45’s Connectivity

The Q45 provides a seamless wireless connection along with a 3.5mm jack for connecting various other devices. Soundcore also has an app that helps in setting various modes like normal & transparency modes along with setting up ambient sound switching order of the ANC button.

The Soundcore application sends timely updates that enhance and fix the sound quality, LDAC codec, or any other software issue for that matter.

Anker Soundcore Space Q45 Review : The Sound Quality

The Q45 from Soundcore is equipped with 40mm double-layered metal ceramic diaphragm drivers which in practice provides a surprisingly quiet sound stage which means you get the added level of inversion with your movies, music, or games but even better than that is its bass. The Q45 just blooms not only with its bass but its sub base as well, no matter what you are listening to, this adds that extra thump to your media and almost makes you feel the music.

Also, higher frequencies are super detailed and clear without sounding too sharp. When it comes to the mids we would like to see a little bit more but thankfully EQ can be fully adjusted with the accompanying app. Overall we are fully satisfied with the audio quality of the Q45, especially at this price point.

Music of all genres sounds good vocals are lifelike and finer details come out while watching movies, especially in the action scenes where the bass feels just phenomenal. Now, let’s talk a bit about the noise cancelling of Q45 as this is what the space series is all about. The ANC works well and while testing it, our team was blown away by its performance.

The Q45 uses a 3-stage noise canceling system which blocks about 98% of the outside noise, overall the ANC is comparable to that of Sony’s XM5 which is double the price of the Q45.

The Battery Life

Review of Anker Soundcore Space Q45

We tested the Q45 heavily and in the real-life scenario, it was able to provide a playtime of about 50 hours while using active noise cancellation. However, the time increased to 65 hours when we switched off the ANC. Also, it provides a quick charging option that offers a maximum of 4 hours of battery life with just 5 minutes of charging.

Anker Soundcore Space Q45 Review : Our Verdict

No headphones in the market are perfect, and the same is the case with the Soundcore Space Q45s, however, the Q45 is a great value buy for those who cannot go for the Sony XM series as they get an equally exceptional ANC along with decent sound quality.

No other wireless headphone in the budget segment offers such features and audio quality at this price point except the Soundcore Space Q45, and we highly recommend these wireless headphones, especially to people who are tight on their budget and still want a premium-looking quality wireless headphone.

So, how do you like our review? Do you still have some questions left unanswered or you are already using the Q45?
